Region

Villa Sessanella is located between Milan and Turin in the northern Italian region of Monferrato, known as the heart of Piedmont. The villa is located in the hamlet of Sessana in the political municipality of Gabiano. Sessana also served as inspiration in naming the winery.
The village can be reached from Zurich in just over four hours by car, which also makes a trip over the weekend possible. Milan's Malpensa airport is a good hour away.

Places to visit

From Sessana many places of interest can be reached in a very short time. The cities of Milan and Turin can be reached in 60 and 40 minutes respectively. Asti and Alba are other beautiful destinations only 45 minutes away. The Monferrato region itself has a fantastic offer of gastronomy, markets, shopping and sights such as wineries, castles and fortresses.

Truffle

The region is known worldwide for its tasty truffles. Besides the black summer truffles, the white Alba truffles are very popular. At the Sessanella winery we keep our own truffle hunting dogs, which can be used to find fresh truffles on your doorstep.

Wine region

The very word Piedmont instantly makes the heart of any wine fan beat faster. There – more precisely in the Langhe, a series of hills between the Po river and the Alps – lies the home of Barolo and Barbaresco, two of the most sought-after wines in the world. We recommend visiting a winery nearby and, of course, tasting our Sessanella wines.
